Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Pineapple upside-down cake, in my opinion, is one of the best cakes ever. Pineapple upside-down cake is great for parties or get-togethers because it is so hard to not love. For the prepared cake batter, I recommend butter cake, but if you are in a time crunch, you can just use a box cake mix. This recipe makes two 9 inch cakes.

  • Prepared cake batter
  • 2 cans of pineapple rings
  • 1 jar of maraschino cherries
  • ½ cup of salted butter melted
  • 1 cup of brown sugar

  • Preheat oven to 350℉
  • Spray two 9-inch cooking pans with cooking spray then set it aside
  • In a small bowl mix the butter and brown sugar, then pour it into the pans
  • Arrange the pineapple to fit in the pan, then in all the spaces, place a cherry
  • Pour the prepared cake batter over the pineapple and cherries, then with a spatula, spread it out evenly
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick will come out clean
