Buttercream frosting is my personal favorite kind of frosting and is my go to for almost any baking project that I do. I manly use buttercream frosting for cake-pops and frosting either a cake or cupcakes. This recipe makes about 4 cups of buttercream frosting.
1 ½ sticks of salted butter at room temperature
3 cups of powdered sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 ½ tablespoons of milk
In a Kitchen Aid mixer, slowly combine the butter and sugar. It takes awhile to fully combine, so be patient.
Add the milk and vanilla to the mixture. You want it to be smooth, but still be a little firm.
