Buttercream frosting is my personal favorite kind of frosting and is my go to for almost any baking project that I do. I manly use buttercream frosting for cake-pops and frosting either a cake or cupcakes. This recipe makes about 4 cups of buttercream frosting.
- 1 ½ sticks of salted butter at room temperature
- 3 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 1 ½ tablespoons of milk
- In a Kitchen Aid mixer, slowly combine the butter and sugar. It takes awhile to fully combine, so be patient.
- Add the milk and vanilla to the mixture. You want it to be smooth, but still be a little firm.
